As a healthcare marketing strategist and industry leader, Mike leads his team and clients on a broad range of internal and external marketing and communications activities including brand positioning and identity, public relations, crisis management and reputation management, marketing strategy, advertising, digital and social, employee communications and engagement, referral development, provider communications, and community outreach.

Mike has directed strategic marketing planning efforts for a variety of rural and other health care organizations, serving as counsel for CEOs and other executive team members. Mike is a highly requested speaker for healthcare national conferences and he is a regular contributor to industry publications and blogs. Due to its involvement in the industry, Legato has been designated as the exclusive marketing partner of the National Rural Health Association.

Before founding Legato, Mike served in various senior leadership roles in the Midwest including director of strategic communications for Aurora Healthcare and vice president of marketing and business development for Prevea Health. When he's not writing marketing plans, Mike spends time with his family at his lake house in Northern Wisconsin boating, fishing, snowmobiling, kayaking, and hiking with his two golden retrievers.
